In short: The VNAV app does not collect your personal information. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your location is used on your device only, and everything you save stays on your device. If you request beta access on this website, we keep the details you send only to run the beta.
What VNAV does
VNAV is a descent planning aid for pilots. It works on your device without an internet connection.
Information we collect
The VNAV app does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools in the app.
Location
VNAV uses your device’s location (GPS) only while you use the app, to calculate distance to a fix and descent guidance. Your location is processed on your device and is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Data stored on your device
Your saved aircraft, descent profiles, settings and recorded descents are stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
Navigation data
The FAA navigation data is included in the app. VNAV does not download it.
Feedback
If you choose “Send feedback” or “Report a wrong result”, the app prepares an email in your Mail app. It may include your app version, device model, iPadOS version and the planner values shown on screen, but not your location. You can read and edit the email before you send it. We use it only to fix problems and to reply to you.
Beta requests on this website
If you request beta access, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, iPad type, pilot certificate (if given), the aircraft you fly and any notes. We use them only to send your TestFlight invite and to contact you about the beta. We do not sell or share them. They are stored with our website host, Cloudflare, or in our email, and we delete them when the beta ends or when you ask us to.
This website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics. Like any website, our host processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
TestFlight
During the beta, Apple’s TestFlight collects crash reports and tester feedback under Apple’s own privacy policy.
Children
VNAV is not directed to children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
